The lighting department's products can be found all over the world. Not only in every home, but also in 30% of offices, 65% of the biggest airports, 30% of hospitals, 35% of cars and 55% of the major football fields on all continents. In 2004, Philips won 28 of the 33 contracts for lighting equipment regarding the Olympic games in Athens that year.
After the acquisition of Massive and Lirio, Philips stated that soon it will take a serious part in the business of residential interior lighting.
