LEGRAND
In 1886, in the small town of Limoges, Central France, the Legrands opened a porcelain factory. Upon entering the age of electricity, the family firm quickly changed its primary activity to manufacturing insulators and switches, for which porcelain is one of the prime materials. Over the years Legrand has had the merits of introducing many innovative products and has integrated with many companies, all of which among the best in their field. All this allowed the small firm in the French provinces to grow into one of the largest international companies – a world leader in the field of electrical equipment manufacturing.
